Dr. Cruz is an 16 year Army veteran. She attended The Pennsylvania State University, where she received his undergraduate degree in 2002, majoring in Psychology, Concentration in Biological Sciences. She was commissioned as an officer in 2002 through the Army Health Professions Scholarship program. Dr. Cruz received her Masters of Science in Biomedical Science degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002, prior to receiving her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2006. Dr. Cruz completed a Urology Post-doctoral research fellowship at The John’s Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2008, prior to completing her Internal Medicine Residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in 2012. Dr. Cruz completed her General Gastroenterology fellowship at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in 2015 and additionally completed fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy at the University of Pennsylvania.
She is a member of the Union League of Philadelphia, Club Giraud, Texas Biomedical Forum, Impresario club, Children’s Ballet of San Antonio (board member).
