GRAMMY-nominated cuatrista and founding member of the acclaimed Venezuelan musical ensemble C4 Trio\, Jorge Glem\, met multi-talented American accordionist\, pianist\, composer Sam Reider at a house party in New York City in 2016. From their very first gigs in public parks and subway stations to recent sold-out concerts Lincoln Center\, SFJAZZ\, and NPR Tiny Desk\, Jorge and Sam delight in the power of music\, friendship\, and improvisation to transcend cultural barriers. \nTheir debut record\, Brooklyn-Cumaná\, was released in November 2022 and was subsequently nominated for Best Instrumental Record in the 2023 Latin GRAMMY Awards. He has performed at major festivals and venues around the world\, with appearances on NPR\, PBS\, and the BBC\, and collaborations with artists including Jon Batiste\, Paquito d’Rivera\, and Jorge Glem. His 2022 solo piano record Petrichor received four stars and made the Best of 2022 in Downbeat Magazine\, and his duo album with Jorge Glem\, Brooklyn-Cumaná\, was featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk and nominated for Best Instrumental Album at the 2023 Latin GRAMMYs. A U.S. Department of State musical ambassador\, Reider has traveled the world carrying his accordion and collaborating with international artists\, with folk songs and stories from his travels inspiring much of his original compositions. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Jorge Glem\, cuatro\n				 \nJorge Glem is a Latin Grammy-winning virtuoso of the Venezuelan cuatro\, mandolinist\, and producer celebrated as one of Venezuela’s most innovative musical figures. He has shared the stage with globally recognized artists including Jon Batiste\, Paquito d’Rivera\, Rubén Blades\, and Natalia Lafourcade\, fusing the cuatro into genres ranging from jazz and salsa to bluegrass and rock. Seating is first-come-first-served. Tickets are available through each event on our event calendar or on Eventbrite. \nCheck-in\nTo help our staff and volunteers\, please have your ticket ready when you get there.
