Prepare to be dazzled by Duo Baldo and Italian soprano, opera diva Maria Luigia Borsi. The comedic duo of violinist Brad Repp and pianist/actor Aldo Gentileschi combines virtuosity, theatrical humor, and pop culture into an unforgettable evening!
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Duo Baldo & Maria Luigia Borsi | Italy
Maria Luigia Borsi, soprano, was the winner of the International Voice Competition of San Remo, earning the title “Best opera singer of 2002” (The president of the jury was tenor Andrea Bocelli). Borsi participated in tours of Asia, Australia, the United States and Europe together with tenor Andrea Bocelli.
Borsi began her professional opera career at La Scala of Milan in 2004, she has also performed at the Venetian opera house La Fenice, and Opernhaus Zürich In 2007 Borsi was a guest Artist at the Special Olympics World Summer Games closing ceremony in Shanghai, together with José Carreras.
In 2008, Borsi performed the lead female role (Desdemona) in the Salzburg Festival production of Giuseppe Verdi’s Otello, conductor Riccardo Muti.
Maria Luigia Borsi is also known as a recitalist and has given solo recitals at venues like Wigmore Hall. She has been a recital companion for singers like José Carreras and Leo Nucci.
The musical comedy team DUO BALDO is renowned violinist Brad Repp and pianist/actor Aldo Gentileschi. Their critically acclaimed performances combine virtuosic performances, theatrical humor, and pop culture.
Duo Baldo made their debut with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli in 2004. In February 2006, Duo Baldo won first prize at the National Short Theater Competition in Florence. After winning first prize at the 2009 Musicomicontest, they performed at the opening of the 2010 Salzburg Festival.
Other engagements include the Chamber Music Society of Trieste, as well as appearances in many US cities including Cincinnati, Baltimore, El Paso, and internationally in Milan, Lucca, Lugano (Switzerland), Dubai (UAE), Mexico City, Paunat (France) and tours of China, Taiwan and Japan. Violinist Brad Repp has appeared as violin soloist with José Carreras.

How do I get a ticket?

What do I show at the door/check-in?
To help our attendants, please have your ticket ready when you get there. Attendants will be ready to scan the QR code located on your ticket (print, email, or app). If you lose your ticket, please tell the attendant your first and last name.
What if I forget to register?
An attendant at the door can help you register quickly and easily. We do not turn away guests if space is available.
What are the current health protocols I need to follow?
Masks/social distancing is not currently required.
How do I get to the San Fernando Cathedral? Where do I park?
The San Fernando Cathedral lies at the center of downtown San Antonio at 115 Main Plaza, San Antonio, TX 78205. While there is no dedicated parking for the Cathedral, there are many close parking options. City Paystations and meters are FREE on Sundays, and you can find more info and paid garage/lot options on our website here. Note that there are three (3) main entrances to the Cathedral: two (2) front (east) entrances off Main Plaza and one (1) ADA-accessible side entrance on the left (south) Cathedral side.
Can I take pictures or video?
No flash photography. We would love for you to capture and share your experience, but we do ask that you be conscientious of others and the artists during the performance so as not to disrupt the event.
