The enterprising concert series Musical Bridges Around the World is in the midst of its inaugural “Music Without Borders” festival, a farrago of jazz, flamenco, Indian and Western classical programs. 2014 Kids’ World Music Festival

After months of planning, scheduling and coordinating-the inaugural Kids’ World Music Festival debuted yesterday in the Laurie Auditorium at Trinity University. About 1,500 students from all over San Antonio were bussed to Trinity for the one-of-a-kind festival. Students were introduced to cultures from Russia, Africa, and Spain during the hour-and-a-half program. Marketing Manager Kim Adamski called the MBAW office after hearing a radio segment about the Kids to Concerts and other MBAW programs. International Music Coming To Inner City Schools

A local non-profit wants to give students in inner city schools access to music from across the globe. Musical Bridges Around The World is kicking off a fundraising campaign, hoping to raise $50,000. The Kids’ World Music Festival Fundraising Challenge wants to reach 27,000 students in San Antonio with the program.
