I work in batik, silk painting and shibori among other techniques. I began painting as a child and after high school continued my art education at the Vitebsk Art College founded by Marc Chagall. Later I graduated from the Belarusian State University of Arts with Master in Arts degree. I am a member of the Guild of Silk Painters (UK). My works have been exhibited in many different countries and can be found in many private collection around the world: Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Poland, France, Sweden, Norway, USA and Canada.
Batik attracts me because of its expressiveness which allows for the creation of unique decorative compositions and exquisite styles. I am inspired by refined lines in Modern Arts and traditional Japanese color harmony and contemplation. I look into harmonic combination of lines, colors, light, fabric and technique to emphasize the hidden in the surrounding world.
