Sogand Solgi

Operations Manager

Sogand Solgi began playing the cello at the age of seven when her father, a musician and master luthier, introduced her to the instrument. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis on cello performance from Baylor University, followed by a Master of Public Health and Graduate Certificate in Maternal and Child Health from UTHealth Science Center in Austin. During her graduate studies, she worked as the Communications, Outreach, and Administrative Specialist for the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Training Program.

After moving back to San Antonio, Sogand took on the role of overseeing operations at her family’s business, Terra Nova Violins. She also served as a lead teacher for MBAW’s Musical Sprouts program, focusing on adjusting the curriculum to better meet the needs of specific populations. She went on to work as a registered behavior therapist, implementing evident-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions for children diagnosed with autism, focusing on enhancing their behavior, social skills, and communication to promote independence and life skills development.

While still occasionally teaching for Musical Sprouts, Sogand has stepped into the role of Operations Manager at Musical Bridges Around the World.
