Russian-French piano duo Ludmila Berlinskaya and Arthur Ancelle will “cultivate duality in a supernatural dimension” (Le Monde), performing dazzling two-piano piano arrangements of Saint Saëns’ Danse Macabre, Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Rachmaninoff, and Tsfasman’s Jazz Suite.
Once ticket registration fills up, all others will be subject to join a waitlist. MBAW will check in with ticket holders multiple times leading up to the concert if they are still coming. Any cancellations will open ticket registration to those on the waitlist. Because it is a free event, MBAW will open seating to anyone still on the waitlist (and any walk-ins) at 6:30 PM, 30 minutes before the performance. Seating is unassigned.
The concert will be in the beautiful Coates Chapel in the UTSA Southwest School of Art. A handy campus map showing the venue’s small lot parking (letter P) and the Coates Chapel (#5) can be found here or shown below:
FREE PARKING will be available in the venue’s parking lot, and ridesharing/carpooling is recommended as it is a small lot. Google Maps link to exact coordinates:
MBAW’s 25th Anniversary Season books with in-depth festival programs will be available for sale at each UNITYFest event for $20 (tax-free – cash, card, checks accepted) or for preorder online here for pickup at the event (provide name on order). Performing artists will be available to sign after the concert.
UnityFest creates meaningful connections through cross-cultural collaborations and celebrates our common humanity. A union of classical and contemporary music from near and far defines our place in this melting pot that is San Antonio.
Thanks to event sponsors and partners UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts and Alamo Music Center for making this event possible. Thanks to National Endowment for the Arts for sponsoring UNITYFest 2023!
