Following our Season 29 opening concert at Stable Hall with Sam Reider and Jorge Glem, Turner Rey, Founder & CEO of Embrace Strings, shared a moving reflection on a moment from the evening that resonated deeply. Halfway through the set, Jorge shared a simple truth with the audience: “People who are rich have money. But I have time, and that is enough for me.”
In his reflection, Rey explores the temptation to get caught up chasing accolades or going through the motions, whether in music, business, or everyday life, and asks what it means to be genuinely present in the time we are given.
This is at the very core of why Musical Bridges Around the World presents free concerts and outreach programs across San Antonio. Live music is more than just entertainment; it is a shared space where virtuosity, friendship and cultural dialogue inspire us to connect with what truly matters.
