Taiwanese native Chi-Jo Lee began receiving notable awards for her performances from 2011 to 2014, by the Taipei Education Department Competition in both solo piano and piano trio. In 2015, Lee held her debut solo recital at the Eslite Performance Hall in Taipei. She began undergraduate studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of André Watts, and was awarded several scholarships and its in concerto competition. Lee also made her live radio solo debut with Indiana Public Radio’s WFIU station. At the Colburn Conservatory of Music, Chi-Jo received her masters under the tutelage of Fabio Bidini. 

In 2018, Lee was awarded 2nd Prize at The Wideman Piano Competition (U.S.). She has performed in the US, Taiwan, and China, most recently at the Beijing National Concert Hall. She has performed at the Aspen Music Festival and the Music Academy of the West’s festival, as well as the 2022 Ted Atkatz percussion seminar in Los Angeles, California. 

Chi-Jo has collaborated with artists such as Susan Graham, Andy Akiho, Tessa Lark at The Colburn School, and is scheduled to appear in two seasons of the chamber series “Le Salon de Musiques” in San Diego. As a chamber music enthusiast, Lee’s piano trio was the 2022 winner of the Eslite chamber music audition. She also has masterclass experience with Stephen Kovacevich, Chen Pi-hsien, Jeremy Denk, Roberto Plano, and Aquiles DeleVingne.

Lee is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in piano performance at the Colburn Conservatory of Music.
