Anna Grot

Anna Grot, 29, is a laureate and winner of numerous piano competitions. She has toured in major halls throughout Russia, Europe, and Asia.

In 2019, she was awarded the Best Interpretation of Sonata, the Best Interpretation of Composition – 20th Century, the Best Interpretation of Composition by Khachaturian, and a special prize from the Aram Khachaturian Museum. She was also a participant of V. Spivakov concerts and received a scholarship from the corresponding foundation, as well as from foundations of M. Rostropovich, N. Petrov, “New Names”, and “Return”. In 2016, Grot received the diploma at the International Grieg Piano Competition (Bergen, Norway). In 2015, she was awarded 2nd prize at the International Almaty Piano Competition (Almaty, Kazakhstan). In 2014, Grot won the “Piano Solo” and the “Performing with the Orchestra” awards at the Festival of Young Musicians “Romantik-Fest” (Moscow, Russia), and 3rd prize and a special prize for transcription at the International Piano Competition “Minsk-2014” (Belarus, Minsk). Between 2005 and 2008, she was awarded 3rd prize at the International Piano Competition Artobolevskaya (Moscow, Russia) and 1st prize in the International Piano Competition “Blue Bird” (“Sinyaya Ptitsa”)(Simferopol). 

Anna was born in 1990 in the town of Checkhov, near Moscow. She graduated from the Central Music School and the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Class of People’s Artist of Russia, Professor Mikhail Voskresensky). Since 2014, Grot has been a soloist of the St.Petersburg House of Music.

Anna has also taken part in music festivals like “The Kremlin is musical” at the Kremlin in Moscow and “Contemporary Piano Faces” at the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint-Petersburg.
