Muscial Bridges is excited to announce a new addition to our musical family!

After an extensive search conducted by the Board of Directors and CEO-Suhail Arastu was selected as Musical Bridges new Director of Development & Marketing.  Suhail’s worldly experience and exceptional communication skills won over the selection committee!  Suhail joined MBAW’s Board of Directors as a member in 2010 and became Vice President in 2013.  During this time he proved to be a brilliant developer.  Last month he resigned from the Board of Directors and stepped into the “crystal shoes” of Director of Development & Marketing.

Suhail Arastu was raised in San Antonio and completed his Bachelors of Arts & Science in Classics and Neurobiology at the University of California, Berkeley while competing in NCAA Gymnastics.  In Philadelphia he continued research and began graduate studies before realizing he needed a break from academia and moved to a small fishing village in Japan for what he likes to call his “time at Walden Pond.”  After a year and a half of contemplation, deep sea fishing, hiking, skiing and teaching he began working in development, traveling the world by ship under the auspices of the United Nations Economic & Social Council.  In 2008 he returned to San Antonio to assist with the expansion of the family business-Alamo Gymnastics Center and Live Oak Allergy & Asthma Clinic.  He serves on the Executive Committee of the San Antonio Museum of Art-Contemporary Collectors, is a trustee for the Mind and Science Foundation and also the Arts & Culture Chair of Anuja, San Antonio.  All of us at Musical Bridges are extremely excited to welcome Suhail as a member of our team and are looking forward to many years of exciting projects together!
