VERNON HANEY

Board Vice Chair

Vernon Haney is a native of downtown San Antonio and a 32-year partner of HEB Grocery. He currently serves in the capacity of Senior Program Leader within the Construction Division of HEB Facility Alliance. Vernon has served on the Board of Directors for the Hispanic Contractors Association of San Antonio as well as the Board of Directors for The Public Theater of San Antonio and is currently a member of the TAMU Construction Industry Advisory Council. He is a passionate art collector and enjoys occasional guest lectures in the Department of Construction Science at Texas A&M University. His extracurricular activities include solo wilderness backpacking, designing-building furniture, and writing poetry.
