Spanish, Mexican and Latin music in a modern and latin jazz style from the incomparable Mexican jazz singer Magos Herrera, Galician accordion virtuoso Victor Prieto, and MBAW’s favorite San Antonio jazz trio featuring Aaron Prado on piano.
Melting Pot | Thursday 24 March, 7PM

Sam Reider and the Human Hands bring irresistible melodies and fiery improvisation to a mashup of Reider’s own creation, blending contemporary composition techniques with American jazz, folk, and pop tunes from around the globe.
The Lark | Friday 25 March, 7PM
San Fernando Cathedral
The Miró Quartet, one of America’s most celebrated string quartets, performs Haydn’s incredible “The Lark” and jazz legend Wynton Marsalis’s “Meeelaan” with bassoonist Kristin Wolfe Jensen, professor of Bassoon at UT Austin’s Butler School of Music.
Duo Amal | Saturday 26 March, 7PM
San Fernando Cathedral
Virtuoso concert pianists Yaron Kohlberg of Israel and Bishara Haroni of Palestine make up the two halves of Duo Amal. “Amal” means “Hope” in Arabic, reflecting their belief that music can overcome different backgrounds and cultural boundaries.
Spring Renaissance | Sunday 27 March, 7PM

Musical masterpieces of Medieval and Renaissance fill the spring air with The Austin Troubadours! Founder and award-winning Serbian lutenist Slobodan Vujisic leads the high-energy international ensemble in a historically-informed performance!
Family Day! | Sunday 27 March, 3:30 – 7PM
Main Plaza
MBAW invites children and their families to attend this outdoor event with short performance vignettes and interactive activities representing different international cultures! Artist performances will include Spanish flamenco, American jazz, Mexican mariachi, Indian dance, and European renaissance.

San Fernando Cathedral & Main Plaza
The San Fernando Cathedral and outdoor Main Plaza are both located at the following address: 115 Main Plaza, San Antonio, TX 78205.
You may enter the Cathedral through either:
1) The front two (2) entrance doors on the front (east side) of the Cathedral, accessible from the Main Plaza.
2) A wheelchair-accessible entrance located on the left (south side) of the Cathedral.
Parking is available downtown either at on-street City paystations/meters (free on Sundays, free every day with disabled placard) or in paid lots/garages. Click here to search the city’s online parking map.

SAFETY GUIDELINES & PROTOCOLS
MBAW will follow all safety and distancing guidelines for fine arts performance halls per the State of Texas, as well any other measures it feels necessary per event from its own discretion for the ensured safety of its attendees. More details about safety guideline details/protocols being enacted will be provided with each concert’s communication and as each date approaches, as per the most updated COVID-19 city and state guidelines and MBAW discretion.
Most Recent Updates:
- Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals.
- We will be sanitizing touch hot spots and will also provide sanitizers as needed.
- We provide attendees either a physical program book or a scannable QR code to a digital version. We ask that attendees do not leave any physical books in the venue once the concert is over, for safety concerns.
- If the COVID-19 situation worsens, it is within MBAW’s right/discretion as a private entity to make the decision to require masks for all attendees entering the building, or shift virtually. Attendees will be notifications clearly before and on the concert date.

Are tickets required for entry to the concert/event?
Yes, but they are free! Seating is first-come-first-served.
How do I get ticket(s)?
Register for tickets here on the International Music Festival page, mbaw.org/events, or on Eventbrite. You can then save your tickets to your device or print them out. You will also receive an email receipt with your tickets attached (unless you have selected not to).
What do I show at the door?
To help our attendants, please have your digital or print ticket(s) ready when you get there. Attendants will be ready to scan the QR code(s) for each attendee on your ticket(s). (Not applicable to Family Day)
What if I forget to get a ticket(s) or don’t have one when I get there?
An attendant at the door can help you register and get in quickly and easily. If you have registered previously but have forgotten to bring the ticket, an attendant can pull up your name and check you in manually. (Not applicable to Family Day)
What are the current health protocols I need to follow?
Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals.
Can I take picture(s) or video(s) at the concert?
No flash photography. We ask that you limit photos or videos to a minimum during the actual performance as a courtesy to our artists.
