Yedam Kim

Yedam Kim, 31, is a South Korean pianist who has performed solo, with chamber ensemble, and orchestra in prestigious halls throughout Europe and Asia.

In the past year, Yedam has won 1st prize in ‘Juries in Competition’ (Salzburg), 2nd prize in the Euregio International Competition, and 2nd prize in the Porto Santa Cecilia International Competition. In 2018, she won 2nd prize in the Ekaterinburg International Competition. She has also been a prizewinner of several other international competitions: 2nd prize in Epinal International Competition (2013), 6th prize in the Seoul International Competition (2017), 6th prize in the Hong Kong International Competition (2016). Kim was also a semi-finalist in the Queen Elisabeth and Busoni International Competitions.

Yedam Kim was born in March 1988 and has been living in France since 2002.  She obtained a Master’s degree at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Henri Barda and Bruno Rigutto, a postgraduate degree at the Mozarteum University Salzburg in 2013 with Jacques Rouvier and a concert diploma at the École Normale de Musique de Paris in 2016. She has also obtained of Masters degree of opera coach at CNSM de Paris in 2019. During her education, she has studied piano with Eun-Ock Kim and Hae-jeon Lee, and is now currently studying with Rena Shereshevskaya. 

She has been a soloist and with orchestras at the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Salle Pleyel and Théatre du Châtelet in Paris and the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow.
