Nikita Lukinov

Nikita Lukinov, 21, has been described as a “attentive and dedicated musician” with an “admirable sense of pianistic flair.”

Lukinov’s first success in competition came with a Grand-Prix at the 2010 International Shostakovich Piano Competition for Youth (Moscow). Other accomplishments and awards include 1st place in the Inter-Russian Piano Competition for Young Pianists, the Diploma in the International Television Competition for Young Musicians “Nutcracker”, and 1st place in the Inter-Russian Concerto Competition.

While studying at the Purcell School in London, Nikita had his Wigmore Hall and Kings Place debut. He has been fortunate to gain numerous concert opportunities at prestigious venues in the UK and abroad, such as St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St. Petersburg Music House, Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, Fazioli Hall, The Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. He had masterclasses with D. Bashkirov, D. Alexeev, A. Jasinski, Roy Howath, J-F. Bavouzet, S. Osborne, V. Viardo, D. T. Son, N. Ogawa, K. Gerstein.

Nikita was born in Russia in 1998, and started studying in 2005 at Voronezh Central Music School with Svetlana Semenkova (Dmitry Bashkirov alumna).  At the age of 14, Nikita moved to the UK to continue his studies with Tatiana Sarkissova (another Dmitry Bashkirov alumna) at the Purcell School in London on a full scholarship. Nikita is an owner of a personal scholarship from Voronezh’s State government “For outstanding cultural achievements”, “Russian Children’s Foundation” and an international charity foundation “New Names”. He has also received a personal scholarship from the National Artist of Russia V. Ovchinnikov. Since September 2017, Nikita has continued his education in the UK at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on a full scholarship with Petras Geniušas.
