Opening Reception: Alterations, Interventions, and Other Manipulations
(Free & Open To The Public)

Curated by MBAW Gallery Coordinator Diana Roberts, this exhibition looks at some of the playful, ironic, investigative, or purely aesthetic ways contemporary artists interact with found imagery and preconceived ideas. Through subtle (or not so subtle) manipulation of materials, intent, or visual cues, these four Texas-based artists subvert, shift, and ultimately expand our reading of the images, inviting alternate perceptions. We invite you to join us for the opening reception with music, wine, and bites!
