SUSAN C. FRANKLIN

Ms. Franklin is Co-Founder, alongside her husband, Aubra, of Franklin Companies, a fully integrated multi-family and senior living community industry leader where she guides Franklin Park’s brand, design, and first impressions’ management. In June 2014, the Franklins were awarded the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year designation for Central Texas. Ms. Franklin serves many non-profit organizations with her time and talents. In 2016, she was honored as a Creative Arts Inductee of the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame and was profiled in the January 2017 cover story of San Antonio Woman Magazine. In addition to her leadership as Chair of the 2020 Committee of The Gurwitz International Piano Competition, Susan is also a board member for Musical Bridges Around the World.

Ms. Franklin is a Noble Patron of the Charity Ball Association, a Golden Circle supporter of the Texas Biomedical Research Institute, and served as Co-Chair of the 2017 UT Health President’s Gala. She is also a member of the Witte Museum Quillin Society.

She also gives generously of her time in service to the Bexar County Performing Arts Center Foundation as a board member and serves on the Building Committee and as a Founders’ Network Co-Chair. In her role, Ms. Franklin worked with the teams that brought forth the vision and support that made the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts a reality. She also serves on the Gala, Annual Giving, and Governance Committees. Her commitment to the fine arts extends beyond board service as she has graciously opened her home to host notable musicians including Nobuyuki Tsujii, the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Gold Medalist, Lilya Zilberstein, acclaimed pianist and Anya Grokhovski, Musical Bridges’ Artistic Director and concert pianist.
