Casey Winkelman

Administrative Assistant

Casey Winkelman was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she grew up singing and playing the violin. In 2015 she began her collegiate studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. During her time there, Casey was an active performer, engaged with many ensembles at the University, and in the community. In 2018, she was selected to perform her first operatic role at Utah Vocal Arts Academy’s Summer Opera Festival. She later gave a presentation on this experience at her school’s undergraduate research fair, for which she received the Dean’s Choice Award. That same year, she was selected as an Apprentice Artist for Opera Fairbanks. From 2016-2019, Casey worked for Alaska Riverways, a local tourism company, as a Retail Associate and later as Buyer’s Assistant. Casey graduated from UAF with her Bachelors in Vocal Performance in 2019. For the following year, she worked as a Program Assistant at a WIC clinic and child advocacy center. In 2020, Casey moved to San Antonio to pursue her Masters in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy with Professor John Nix and graduated in May 2022. She currently works as Administrative Assistant with Musical Bridges Around the World.
