This year MBAW is targeting middle school students, presenting 25 concerts in mostly Title One middle schools in several different San Antonio public school districts, at no cost to schools visited.  Texas Title One schools are those most persistently low achieving, and most in need of improvement.  Studies have shown middle schoolers are at a “jumping off point” in their education, open to new ideas and engaged in their world.  These are influential years in their education, and an important time to create opportunities for real learning about the world.  Many of the students in the Title I schools we visit never travel outside their...

Welcome back to our new old Office Manager Sarah Bading Gabriel! Sarah first came to Musical Bridges as the narrator for Carnival of the Animals and Babar the Elephant in 2009. She served as Office Manager from 2010-2011 for MBAW’s 13th Season. After two years living in Austin and the birth of her first child, Sarah returned to MBAW as Event Manager, helping coordinate the very successful 2013 Silent Auction and Fundraising Gala. For the upcoming 16th Season, Sarah was offered the position of full-time Office Manager and moved from Austin to accept.
